How a first lesson goes

Four steps, and you are on court by the second one

  1. Say hello

Call, text, or send the form. Bec answers within a day and asks what you are trying to fix.

  2. Hit for free

A no-charge 20-minute hit so you can see how she coaches before spending a dollar.

  3. Get a plan

You leave with two or three specific changes, in writing, and a schedule that fits your week.

  4. Play better

Standing weekly slots, video check-ins between lessons, and match-day texts when you need them.

Sound-adapted tennis

Houston's specialist

Blind and adaptive tennis, coached properly

The ball rattles so you can hear it. The lines are taped so you can feel them. The court is smaller and, depending on your classification, you get up to three bounces.

Bec is certified in sound-adapted coaching and works with players across the full B1 to B4 range, plus wheelchair and standing adaptive tennis. She brings the equipment. Sliding-scale pricing is available and you never have to explain why you need it.

From her players

The part she did not write

  • My daughter went from crying about tournaments to asking for more of them. Bec fixed her serve toss in two lessons and her confidence in about six.

    Marisol T. · Parent, Bellaire

  • I am 54 and had a one-handed backhand I could not hit under pressure. Bec did not rebuild it. She found the one thing that was wrong with it and we moved up a league level.

    David K. · USTA 3.5, West University

  • Bec was the first coach who did not treat my vision loss as a reason to lower expectations. She taught me the sound-adapted game properly, and I now play in tournaments.

    Aisha R. · B3 player, Third Ward

  • Our Saturday clinic is the most fun ninety minutes of my week and my doubles record says it is working.
